About this compound
What Is Bacteriostatic Water?
Bacteriostatic water is sterile, non-pyrogenic water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. The benzyl alcohol inhibits growth of most common bacteria, allowing a single vial to be entered repeatedly over a period of up to 28 days.
Why the 10ml Format
This is the larger presentation, holding five times the volume of the standard 2ml vial. It suits protocols reconstituting several peptides in parallel, higher working volumes, or extended research schedules where repeatedly purchasing small vials is impractical.
Specifications
- Volume — 10ml multi-dose vial
- Preservative — 0.9% benzyl alcohol
- Sterility — sterile, non-pyrogenic
- In-use period — up to 28 days after first entry when refrigerated
Handling
Store at room temperature before use. After first entry, refrigerate at 2–8 °C and discard 28 days later. Swab the stopper before each entry.
Supplied strictly for laboratory and in-vitro research use only. Not for human or veterinary use, not for consumption.
