What Is Thymosin Alpha-1?
Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1) is a 28-amino-acid N-terminally acetylated peptide originally isolated from thymosin fraction 5 of bovine thymus. It is one of the most extensively studied immunomodulatory peptides in the world and is approved in more than thirty countries under the name Zadaxin for hepatitis B and C and as a vaccine adjuvant.
