What Is Selank?
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) built from the endogenous immunomodulatory tetrapeptide tuftsin with the same stabilising Pro-Gly-Pro tail used in Semax. Developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, it is studied as an anxiolytic that does not produce the sedation, motor impairment, tolerance or withdrawal associated with benzodiazepines.
